("Byteu.CA"), we are committed to student satisfaction and providing transparent refund policies in compliance with the Ontario Consumer Protection Act and federal consumer protection legislation. This policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be granted.

2. Cooling-off Period

2.1 10-Day Cooling-off Period

In accordance with Ontario Consumer Protection Act, you have the right to cancel your course enrollment within 10 days of enrollment confirmation for any reason, no questions asked.

2.2 How to Exercise Cooling-off Rights

To cancel during the cooling-off period:

  • Send written notice to: [email protected]
  • Include your full name and enrollment confirmation number
  • State your intention to cancel
  • No reason required

2.3 Cooling-off Period Refund

If you cancel during the cooling-off period, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid, processed within 7 business days.

3. 14-Day Money-Back Guarantee

3.1 Satisfaction Guarantee

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee from the start date of your first scheduled class. If you are not completely satisfied with our course within this period, you may request a full refund.

3.2 Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the 14-day money-back guarantee:

  • Request must be made within 14 days of your first class
  • You must have attended or accessed less than 25% of course content
  • Written refund request must be submitted
  • Brief feedback about your experience may be requested

3.3 What's Included

The money-back guarantee covers:

  • Full course tuition
  • All enrollment fees
  • Access to course materials

4. Refund Request Process

4.1 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund under our policies:

    • Full name as registered
    • Email address used for enrollment
    • Enrollment confirmation number
    • Reason for refund request
    • Preferred refund method
  3. Submit any required documentation

4.2 Response Timeline

We will:

  • Acknowledge your request within 1 business day
  • Review and respond within 3 business days
  • Process approved refunds within 7-10 business days

4.3 Required Documentation

You may be asked to provide:

  • Original enrollment confirmation
  • Payment receipt or transaction ID
  • Brief explanation of reason for refund

5. Refund Methods

5.1 Payment Method

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for enrollment:

  • Credit card refunds: 3-5 business days
  • PayPal refunds: 3-5 business days
  • Bank transfers: 5-7 business days

5.2 Processing Fees

For refunds processed within our guarantee periods, no processing fees are charged. Third-party payment processor fees may apply for refunds outside guarantee periods.

5.3 Currency

Refunds are processed in Canadian Dollars (CAD) at the exchange rate in effect at the time of the original transaction.

6. Special Circumstances

6.1 Medical or Emergency Situations

We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise. In cases of serious illness, family emergency, or other extenuating circumstances, we may offer:

  • Transfer to a future cohort at no charge
  • Extended access to course materials
  • Partial refund consideration
  • Flexible payment arrangements

6.2 Technical Issues

If technical problems on our end prevent you from accessing the course, we will:

  • Provide immediate technical support
  • Offer alternative access methods
  • Extend your access period
  • Provide full refund if issues cannot be resolved

6.3 Course Cancellation by Byteu.CA

If we cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment or other reasons:

  • Full refund of all payments
  • Priority enrollment in next available cohort
  • Option to enroll in alternative course at same price
  • Compensation for any documented expenses (at our discretion)

7. Non-Refundable Situations

7.1 After Guarantee Period

Refunds are generally not available:

  • After the 14-day guarantee period expires
  • After completing more than 25% of course content
  • For courses that have been completed
  • For certificate fees after certificate issuance

7.2 Violation of Terms

No refund will be provided if enrollment is terminated due to:

  • Violation of course conduct policies
  • Disruptive behavior affecting other students
  • Academic dishonesty or plagiarism
  • Sharing course materials without permission

7.3 Third-Party Services

Refunds do not cover:

  • Third-party software or tool subscriptions
  • External certification fees
  • Personal technology or equipment costs
  • Internet connectivity expenses

8. Partial Refunds

8.1 Prorated Refunds

In exceptional circumstances beyond our standard guarantee periods, we may offer prorated refunds based on:

  • Unused portion of course content
  • Number of attended vs. remaining sessions
  • Access to materials and resources used
  • Individual circumstances and course progress

8.2 Calculation Method

Prorated refunds are calculated as:

  • Total course fee ÷ 12 sessions × remaining sessions
  • Less administrative processing fee (if applicable)
  • Subject to minimum refund thresholds

9. Transfer Policy

9.1 Course Transfers

As an alternative to refunds, we offer:

  • One-time transfer to future cohort (within 12 months)
  • Transfer to different course of equal or lesser value
  • Extension of access period for completed content

9.2 Transfer Fees

Course transfers are provided:

  • Free within first 7 days of enrollment
  • $50 CAD fee for transfers after 7 days
  • No fee for medical/emergency situations

This refund policy may be updated periodically. Changes will:

  • Apply to enrollments made after the effective date
